About Me!
A passionate mental health practitioner inclined towards ethical mental health care practices, I have 12+ years of experience in counselling clients from diverse backgrounds, nationalities and cultural outlook so that people in need get the appropriate care and treatment. I believe in holistic care and thus always look at a concern from the biopsychosocial model and provide interventions accordingly.
I am a M. Sc. Psychology graduate from the University of Calcutta and has several accolades to her name till date. I am also trained in Clinical Hypnosis (Level 2) under Dr. Jini K. Gopinath, Basic and Advanced REBT under Dr. Debbie Joffe Ellis, Alternative Therapies in Counselling (Meditation) and did her foundation course on DMT from Pradeep - Centre for Autism Management. I have successfully delivered numerous workshops, seminars, webinars and awareness programmes in schools, colleges and corporates on mental health and emotional wellbeing.
I have worked in multi-disciplinary setup working alongside a team of gynecologists, physiotherapists, nutritionist, yoga instructors, lactation consultants and many more. I am also associated with prestigious organizations like Maven Clinic (USA), Spring Health and ORDI (Organization for Rare Diseases India) to counsel patients with rare diseases and their family members.
I am fighting with a rare condition, known as Scimitar Syndrome since my birth, though it wasn’t diagnosed as that till a few years back. But I prefer to wear the smile at all times while delivering quality therapy sessions through a typical workday. I can resonate with her fellow rare disease warriors and their near and dear ones, and can understand the implications on their mental health. I am also a proud mom to two kids and native to Bangalore since the last 10 years.
